Downtown Athens Historic District is a charming area in Athens, Georgia, known for its historic architecture, locally owned businesses, and vibrant cultural scene. The district includes notable landmarks such as the Morton Theatre, the oldest surviving vaudeville theatre in the southeastern United States and the Athens Welcome Center, housed in a restored 1820s-era church.
