Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam

Goodspeed Opera House is an intricate historical and architectural landmark in East Haddam. Constructed in 1876 near the Connecticut River, the opera house carries the unique style of the Second Empire. An interesting fact is that since the beginning of its opening in 1877, the venue has never performed any opera, as the name suggests. All its performances mostly focus on musicals and drama plays.
