Lincoln University

Lincoln University is a historically black university located in Lincoln, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1854 as Ashmun Institute, and is named after President Abraham Lincoln. It is the United States' first degree-granting historically black university, and one of the oldest institutions of higher education for African Americans. The university has a rich history of educating and empowering black leaders, including notable alumni such as Langston Hughes, Thurgood Marshall, and Amiri Baraka. Aside from its historical significance, Lincoln University also offers beautiful architecture and a picturesque campus, making it a great destination for tourists interested in history and culture.
