Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine is probably the most photographed attraction not only in Kyoto, but in the whole of Japan. This is the main shrine of Inari, which in Japanese culture is known as the god of prosperity, the patron of merchants, manufacturers, and also sake and rice. The shrine consists of smaller sub shrines that stretch to 4 kilometers on the way to Mount Inari. An interesting fact is that each small gate is a donation for fortune and good luck.
