Englischer Garten in München

Englischer Garten

Englischer Garten, located in Munich, Bavaria, is a gorgeous public park. One of the largest urban public parks globally, it covers 910 acres and extends from the city core to the northeastern city limits. The park's name alludes to its English garden form, popular in England from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century. Among the breathtaking sights housed in this garden are a picturesque Japanese garden, established in honor of the 1972 Winter Olympics, and the Schönfeldwiese ("Beautiful field meadow"), where, wait for it!, nude sunbathing is permitted and even encouraged.
